A Lake County
Grassroots Democratic
2014 General Election
Warren Township Democrats is sponsoring a section of highway in Lake County through the Adopt-A-Highway
program.   We are responsible for a 1 mile stretch on Stearn School Road from Dilley's Road to Rt. 41.   We
began this program in April 2007 and have just renewed our contract to perform semi-annual clean-ups on
this highway.

Our last clean-up was held Saturday November 8, 2014.  Thanks go to Jim Lewis, Mark Steinlein and his
daughters Nora and Gigi, Curtis Hunt and his daughter Anjali, who joined Jim Neel (chair) and Bonnie Berger-
Neel (Secretary/webmaster) on the semi-annual clean-up.

We have signed up to continue the program and have the same stretch of highway.  We will meet at the
Church of the Annunciation at the corner of Stearns School Road and Dilleys Road.
 We will be doing our
Spring 2015 clean-up once the weather warms up in
April/May 2015.  Please let us know if you are interested
in helping.  We give community service credit for school or scouting organizations.

Adopt-A-Highway Update
Thanks go to all the candidates in this year's General Election and all the volunteers who helped them.
Special thanks to the WTD Precinct Committeemen and Committeewomen who assisted the candidates by
putting out their literature, making calls, walking precincts and helping in their campaign office.  It was a
tough Election Day but there were a number of bright spots including the return to State Legislature of all
the incumbents whose areas include Warren Township.

e still have one race undecided with Mike Frerichs for State Treasurer closing in on Tom Cross as
provisional and absentee ballots continuing to be counted.
